That's a Wrap!

I know it's not quite Winter weather, it's actually been quite warm the last few days, but my latest purchase is perfect preparation for those frosty mornings! As the reign of the Summer kimono comes to an end it is replaced with blanket wraps, capes and wide sleeved cardigans with warm-coloured patterns and cosy faux fur. I first fell in love with this trend after watching Cara Delevingne strut down the catwalk during the Burberry Prorsum A/W show (seen below) and decided to share my favourites from the high street...

My High Street Picks

Furry Cape//M&S
Shirt//New Look
Skirt//H&M
Hat//Asos
Necklace//Accessorize
Boots//Boohoo

I recently saw this furry cape while working at M&S and instantly fell in love. It's the perfect little cover up for winter complete with faux fur cuffs and priced at £45. This also comes in a lovely grey colour along with a selection of patterned capes to choose from!

The 'Intarsia Poncho Cardigan' is another of my favourites from Zara, coming in at £45.99, it's perfect for a more casual look to throw over a daytime outfit. Wearing a more tailored trouser can balance out the baggy fit of the poncho!

My final choice is this check patterened blanket wrap from New Look. The tartan pattern is bang on trend and it's priced at £24.99 - a reasonable price!

How To Wear: The Fluffy Jumper

Jumper - Topshop
Skirt - Forever 21
Boots - Primark
Frilly Socks - Topshop
Necklace - Accessorize

Today I'm wearing my first Winter purchase from way back at the start of Autumn, after finally accepting that Summer was over...

I love this jumper because it's super warm but the texture makes it a little bit different and interesting. As the pale pink colour is quite feminine and subtle I decided to clash it with a tough, leather skirt and an embellished necklace. The frilly socks add another small feminine touch, linking it all together! Obviously the no tights look isn't exactly practical here in Scotland because it's constantly freezing, but adding some tights won't exactly ruin the look.

I'm pretty sad at how short I look in these photo's. Being 5"3 is really annoying at times!

How To Wear: Oversized Knitwear

Knitted Jumper - River Island
Chain - River Island
Beanie - River Island
Leggings - Primark
Boots - Primark

Is it just me or has the weather suddenly got so much colder? Today I have spent the whole day freezing cold, so when I spotted this oversized knitted jumper in River Island on my way home it didn't take a lot to convince me to buy it.

I love the pattern on this jumper - it hints at a tartan pattern but it's quite subtle and understated. I paired this with my leather-look leggings and my boots, which are another new purchase. These boots are available from Primark and were only £20 which I think is a bargain. With this style of boots coming into store for Winter, I would definitely recommend grabbing yourself a pair! I also have my eyes on some leather gloves from River Island to further add to my collection in preparation for Winter.

P.S. apologies for the lack of smiling in my photo's today. Spent the whole day doing uni work so my brain is now fried!

Hope you are all enjoying stocking up on Winter purchases!
