Yet Another Impulse Buy...

While being in London my shopping addiction has hit its all time peak, so much so, that it's at that "I want to buy everything and anything" stage. My bank balance is beginning to sweat, but hey, it's worth it right? The main culprit is definitely those sneaky impulse purchases that are calling out to you until you just can't resist the temptation (especially when it's 50% off at Urban Outfitters).

This gorgeous velvet dress from Urban Outfitters has quickly become one of my favourite items in my wardrobe. It's perfect for throwing on with a shirt for work or wearing on it's own, toughened up with a leather jacket at night. Sometimes those rash decisions turn out to be good decisions!

Clashing Textures

Whoever said you appreciate the weekends more when working full time - yes, you were right. I try to make the most of every weekend I have in London since I'm only here for three months and this weekend was no different. After a trip to Choccywoccydoodah, and an embarrassing fall down the stairs landing in one of their cakes (don't ask), we stopped for some quick photos in this cute cobbled street.

Cords may remind you of an old-fashioned fabric mainly worn by the older generation - sorry Grandad - but I love how these cord dungarees from Missguided take a fresh spin on the fabric, paired with a floral quilted bomber jacket to create the perfect clash of textures and balanced by a crisp white shirt.

A Zest for Zara

Bowler Hat - Forever 21
T-Shirt - Zara
Shorts - Zara
Boots - Primark
Necklace - New Look

If I step into Zara and I don't buy anything, or at least want something, there is something seriously wrong! Due to Zara delivering new products to their stores twice a week, I constantly find myself in there at least once a week - definitely a shopaholic...

Yesterday, while waiting for a train, I popped into Zara and made a few impulse buys in the form of some lovely lace shorts and the 'something very addictive' t-shirt you see in the pictures above. I kind of bought these separately but when I got home and tried them on I thought they actually looked really nice together. I've styled this with my bowler hat that I purchased last month in Glasgow and my black and gold boots from Primark. I'll probably need to wear some tights though since it's freezing here in Scotland!

Also loving how I look pretty tanned in these photos!

How To Wear: Oversized Knitwear

Knitted Jumper - River Island
Chain - River Island
Beanie - River Island
Leggings - Primark
Boots - Primark

Is it just me or has the weather suddenly got so much colder? Today I have spent the whole day freezing cold, so when I spotted this oversized knitted jumper in River Island on my way home it didn't take a lot to convince me to buy it.

I love the pattern on this jumper - it hints at a tartan pattern but it's quite subtle and understated. I paired this with my leather-look leggings and my boots, which are another new purchase. These boots are available from Primark and were only £20 which I think is a bargain. With this style of boots coming into store for Winter, I would definitely recommend grabbing yourself a pair! I also have my eyes on some leather gloves from River Island to further add to my collection in preparation for Winter.

P.S. apologies for the lack of smiling in my photo's today. Spent the whole day doing uni work so my brain is now fried!

Hope you are all enjoying stocking up on Winter purchases!
